Biography

Kristin was born and raised in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. She clicked her heels and ended up at Oklahoma City University, where she earned a Bachelor of Performing Arts degree. After leaving Oklahoma in the dust, she landed a job dancing at Walt Disney Wold in Orlando. While performing in their stage show “Beauty and the Beast” she met her future husband in the employee cafeteria, Kevin RIchardson (now a former member of the Backstreet Boys), who was performing as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Kristin then left the cozy safe world of Disney to perform on the world cruise ship Royal Odyssey. This adventure took her all over the world, and she did not return to the United States for 8 months. As a young girl this experience proved to be invaluable.

The Big Apple called and Kristin moved to New York to perform with the Radio City Music Hall famed Rockettes. A dream come true for any yough dancer. She then moved on to an ever bigger dream and performed the role of “Geminae” in “A Funny Thing Happended on the Way to the Forum” on Broadway. She will always be greateful for the learning experience that cam from working alongside the talents of Jerry Zaks, Rob Marshall, Nathan Lane and Whoopi Goldberg. After completing the workshop production of “Footlose” Kristin decided to leave Broadway to pursue film and television roles in Los Angeles, electing not to continue with the show for its Broadway run.

While pursuing film and television roles, Kristin was had picked by Cher to dance for her National “Believe” tour. An experience she holds close to her heart. She opted to leave the road life when Kevin asked her to be his wife. Upon returning to LA she booked her first role in Warner Brother’s “Rock Star” alongside Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Anniston. She then started booking guest roles on television shows such as “Lost”, “NYPD Blue”, “CSI”, “Supernatural”, “Joey” and many others. Kristin won Newports Film Festival’s award for Breakout Performance by an Actress for her lead role as “Jessica” in the feature “Shut Up and Kiss Me”. And her favorite acting experience thus far has been working under the direction of Sam Mendes in Universal’s “Jarhead”.

Kristin most recently took a small break from the whirlwind of Hollywood to star in her biggest role yet, motherhood. Mason Richardson was born on July 3rd, 2007. But 3 months after his birth, she was back working as a guest star on “CSI Miami” and playing a lead role in the independent film “Boiler Maker”. Alongside her careerd, Kristin is supporting Kevin in pursuing his new acting career, discovering the world again with Mason, and diving deeper into her love of photography by currently taking classes at LACC. Can on really do it all? She doesn’t know, but how much fun to try.
